Louisiana State University provides three NTP servers for public use with two interfaces each. Both IPv4 and IPv6 are supported on all interfaces. Here is a list:
Note: If your machine has IPv6 enabled, it will try to do ntp via IPv6. If you have IPv6 enabled but not working probably, you will have issues with ntp.
Currently ntp.lsu.edu is a cname that points to ntp1.lsu.edu. In the future, we will start rotating this cname on an hourly basis (similar to ntp.pool.org).
Please note that the actual ip addresses are changing soon. If you enter DNS names you should not have a problem with the following exceptions:
NTP services are provided by LSU and HPC@LSU.
